Jonathan Kosares is a renowned expert in the precious metals industry, with nearly 25 years of hands-on experience in market analysis, brokerage, and client advisory. A Cum Laude graduate from the University of Notre Dame Medoza School of Business, where he earned dual degrees in Finance and Computer Applications, Jonathan joined USAGOLD in 2002. Founded by his father, Michael J. Kosares, in 1973, the company became a multi-generational family enterprise with Jonathan’s apprenticeship, ushering in a new chapter for USAGOLD that blended time-honored traditions with innovative strategies.
Beginning his career as an Account Executive, Jonathan worked directly with clients on the acquisition and sale of precious metals. During that time, he authored influential articles on historical trends, technical analysis, and market dynamics, pioneering in-depth studies on premium fluctuations in historic US gold coins and seasonality in gold price performance. Jonathan was also among the first to expose deceptive and overpriced sales tactics in the industry, especially in the precious metals IRA sector, advocating for transparency and ethical practices. His grounded expertise earned him widespread recognition, leading to numerous public speaking engagements, media interviews, and accolades as a trusted authority in the field.
As his role at USAGOLD grew, Jonathan took on the leadership of the brokerage team, managed wholesale relationships, and conducted all buying and selling of physical metals for the company. He consulted on market initiatives, most notably curating USAGOLD’s acclaimed monthly special offers program, while supervising the website management and development team. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of the company.
Following his father’s passing in September 2023, Jonathan assumed majority ownership and full operation control of USAGOLD. Today, he continues to oversee all facets of the business while channeling his passion into delivering highly specialized, personalized consultation and white-glove service to clients. Drawing on his extensive industry relationships and market expertise, Jonathan ensures access to the highest quality products at ultra-competitive prices for all of USAGOLD’s clients. He positions USAGOLD as one of the last bastions of genuine client-centric service, embodying this ethos in every interaction.
Outside of work, Jonathan cherishes time with his family and enjoys an active lifestyle golfing, skiing, playing tennis, attending concerts and sports events, and traveling.

Jake Farlow holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering from Louisiana State University. As an engineer, he employs a first principles approach to problem-solving, breaking down complex challenges to their fundamental components to devise innovative and effective solutions. With a strong proficiency in technology and cybersecurity, Jake has earned recognition as a skilled white-hat hacker, helping companies strengthen their cybersecurity frameworks. His extensive expertise also includes project management, macroeconomics, and technical leadership. Jake authors USAGOLD’s Daily Market Report, delivering insightful analysis on economic trends.
As Chief Technology Officer at USAGOLD, Jake oversees the company’s technology strategy and operations. He aligns technological initiatives with business objectives, drives innovation by leveraging emerging technologies, and leads product development and technical teams. Jake ensures the implementation of secure, scalable systems, manages technology budgets, and communicates complex technical concepts to stakeholders with clarity. His leadership balances strategic vision with operational excellence, fostering USAGOLD’s growth and competitive edge.
Outside of work, Jake treasures moments spent with family and maintains an active lifestyle through tennis, skiing, snowboarding, and travel. Passionate about macroeconomics, he also enjoys exploring real estate investment opportunities.
