Global economy unlikely to benefit from falling dollar
Financial Times/Chris Giles and Eva Szalay/8-30-2020
“The dollar has transitioned into a bear market. It’s not going to happen in the next few weeks but in over the course of the next five years we think that the dollar could weaken as much as 15 to 20 percent against a basket of its peers.” – Aaron Hurd, a senior portfolio manager, State Street Global Advisors.
USAGOLD note: In the world of currency relative currency values, a 15% to 20% decline is a significant event and five years is a long time. There will be repercussions if Hurd is right.
