Our long awaited "South of the Border" Special Offer is finally here. We have saved the best for last with our 2005 Buyers' Group series. For this offer we have combined nearly impossible-to-find Chilean and Columbian issues with rarely seen Mexican, Argentine, and Uruguayan coins. This eclectic collection of South American coins is an excellent addition to any gold holding, and an opportunity not to be missed. We've arranged these coins into various lots, allowing participants over a range of investment levels to enjoy the nice variety offered by these coins. Overall populations on these coins are very low in comparison to more commonly minted European issues of the same time period. Only 100,000 Uruguay 5 Pesos were minted in the sole year of their production, 1930. A mere 685,000 pre-1933 Chilean 100 Pesos, 4.4 million Columbian 5 Pesos, 6.5 million Argentina 5 peso and 7.5 million Mexican 5 Pesos were minted. All of these coins are in uncirculated condition except for the Argentina 5 Pesos, which are extra fine. We have just 40 of the Chilean coins -- available through allotment purchases only -- making this an extremely limited offer. Those of you who purchase allotments outlined in this offer will have access to an additional 200 Columbian and 260 Uruguay pieces. Add-ons will be honored as requested on a first come, first served basis. Historical Commentary: |
