Cash is Trash - Gold is Money
Article by Michele Ashby
February 18, 2002

That's right, the time is finally here when gold has regained some of it's glory. And it looks as if it will have some sustainability this time. We have had some spikes in the past few years, where gold prices have climbed to the $300 level, but then retraced every penny. Things could be different this time around. In the reading I have done in the past few weeks, I have observed many different factors related to gold interest. Keynote Speech to the
Denver Gold Group Mining Investment Forum 1998
Westin Hotel Tabor Center, Denver Colorado

It gives me much pleasure to be here at this distinguished gathering of the Denver Gold Group Investment Forum. What I did not know was that we would be meeting in a dramatically changed environment of renewed confidence and optimism.....

Luncheon Speech to the
European Gold Mining Investment Forum 1998
Geneva, Switzerland

Luncheon Speech to the
European Gold Mining Investment Forum 1997
Geneva, Switzerland

I was a bit shocked when Michele asked me to speak at this conference. Shock turned to horror when I realised that my audience had been given Hobson's choice -- listen or no lunch! I hope the invitation did not deter too many potential attendees because my views on certain aspects of the gold industry are well known and not much loved by many of you. Furthermore, I run the risk that if I speak my mind, I may be accused of biting the hand that has just fed me. I can't believe there are many people here who can stomach the thought of sitting through even a variation of my usual theme. I therefore promise to be brief - the greatest quality in any speaker...
